Glenelg Hopkins Catchment Management Authority is responsible for planning and implementation of strategies to protect and enhance the health of the region's biodiversity, soils, waters and land. Glenelg Hopkins CMA's head office is located in Hamilton, centre of the beautiful Western District region.

The following employment opportunities exist within the Glenelg Hopkins CMA:

Finance Officer

Part-time, fixed-term contract to 31 October 2017, Band I

The Finance Officer is responsible for the effective coordination of the organisations financial and accounts responsibilities. It requires processing, management and collation of financial data into appropriate standards and ad hoc financial reports for a range of audiences and needs. The position's key responsibilities will be achieved through practical ‘hands on' input.

The position is being offered part-time (0.8 FTE) for a 6-month period, to replace a staff member on leave.

Water Resources Planner

Part-time (0.8 FTE) to full-time (1.0FTE) on a fixed term contract to 15 December 2017, to replace a staff member on leave.

The Water Resources Planner is responsible for activities associated with managing environmental water in the Glenelg Hopkins CMA region. Key tasks include coordinating environmental water releases to the Glenelg River, delivering projects supporting the environmental water reserve and liaising with key stakeholders.
