Grasslands and golf balls

Throwing golf balls around in a paddock doesn’t automatically seem like a high level science activities, but it is actually one of the easiest and most effective ways researchers measure grasslands.

Join Dr Brad Farmilo, plant ecologist with the Arthur Rylah Institute, and Aggie Stevenson senior biodiversity officer with the Glenelg Hopkins CMA in the paddock as they talk about how grasslands are monitored and how landholders can protect grasslands areas and have a commercially viable farming operation.

It includes some throwing around of golf balls, but also some more very scientific measurements, as well as how landholders can easily support their native grasslands and continue to conduct commercial farming operations.
