Mad ducks and swans
What we see on Platycam (www.platycam.com.au) is entirely amusing sometimes.
While the livestream is aimed at spotting the elusive platypus in their natural environment, the fact the camera is livestreamed 24/7 means we get to see everything that goes on in and on the Grange Burn.
Lately we’ve seen a number of appearances by a set of triplet Black Swan cygnets, who have made themselves quite at home … much to the displeasure of our resident ducks!
Recently we caught this little bit of biffo ..
We have also seen some really great examples of animals interacting, the growth of ducklings and cygnets, the regular appearance of our resident turtles and, of course, the platypus of the waterway.
You can tune into the stream anytime at www.platycam.com.au or via our Glenelg Hopkins CMA YouTube Channel which also has all our project videos, showcasing what we do at the CMA.
