2025-2026 Seasonal Watering Plan released
The Victorian Environmental Water Holder’s Seasonal Watering Plan 2025-26 has been released.

This year’s plan – which directs environmental flows in the Glenelg River in our region as part of a statewide plan – focuses on planning environmental flows to build resilience for forecast dry periods and expected low inflows in catchments.
Conditions in 2024-25 have generally been dry, with parts of western and central Victoria experiencing their driest start to the year on record and the planned water sharing arrangements take this into account, together with the Bureau of Meteorology predictions of below-average rainfall and above-average temperatures for various regions through spring 2025.
The western region, which includes the Glenelg River, may be in a very dry to drought scenario, especially at some locations where storages have drawn down significantly.
