Estuaries: Why we wait

The management of estuaries in the southwest has been challenging this winter.

In lots of cases, the Glenelg Hopkins CMA has taking a wait and see approach to allow nature the take its course in the first instance.

A lack of rainfall regionally has had a big impact on that.

Not that long ago, we sat down to talk to our estuary manager, Jared, to understand the reasoning, testing and understanding behind how estuaries are managed.
