EVENT: Planning the roadside burn
Planned burns on roadsides protect more assets then people realise and the CMA is bringing together the CFA, ecological experts and CFA bridge members and volunteers to talk about roadsides and grasslands.
Burning native grasslands helps support them as a natural asset and at the same time, reduces fire risk around community assets.
The day will include a bus tour of local roadsides, including those which have had grassland restoration undertaken to show the difference between native grasslands and pharalis-dominated roadsides and their flamibility.

CFA brigade members are invited to come along and learn about planned burns supporting the grasslands and community on October 29th.
RSVP to the event by emailing or phoning Aggie Stevenson ph: 0435 537 443 or e: a.stevenson@ghcma.vic.gov.au by 12pm on October 27.
